Our Goal

Tidewater Rotary will be collecting household supply donations this spring with the help of Talbot businesses and community volunteers. The donations will be distributed to those in need by the Neighborhood Service Center.

The Neighborhood Service Center has seen the demand for their resources dramatically increase over the years. While food donations are important, often forgotten are the needs for basic household items. Tidewater Rotary has stepped in to help meet those needs and is asking for donations of paper towels, cleaning supplies, and toiletries.

How Your Business or Organization Can Participate

We will be collecting donations with the help of Talbot county businesses, non-profits, faith-based organizations, and community centers. The donations will be distributed by the mobile unit with the Neighborhood Center’s food deliveries. We have set this up to be as easy as possible for you to participate:

Tidewater Rotary’s Responsibilities

• Provide a list of items for donation – click here
• Deliver boxes for collection of items – Collection Dates are May 15-26, 2023 (boxes brought to you before this date)
• Pick-up donated items – May 30-June 1, 2023
• Provide sample emails for businesses to share with employees explaining the drive – click here
• Share on social media and Tidewater website businesses participating

Your Responsibilities

• Share information about the drive with employees to encourage donations
• Provide a space for donation box
• Share on social media participation in the drive
• Collect donated items – May 15-26, 2023
• Available for a picture at mutually convenient time of collection

How Individuals Can Participate

Businesses or organizations with public drop-off boxes will be listed below. Or you can contribute by purchasing items off of our Supplies for Service Amazon Wishlist. Supplies purchased there will be shipped to us directly and then added to the other supply drive goods donated at the end of the event.
