Tidewater Rotary Club President’s Fall 2021 Update

Meals of Hope – Rotary Day of Service:

 Meals on Wheels:

  • We are working with the Easton Rotary group to share resources and scheduling ability to help in some of the monthly Meals on Wheels deliveries.

  • Tidewater Rotary hopes to be able to cover at least 8 slots in October. There are two routes to cover and each route takes approximately one hour to complete.

  • More information and application is coming soon.

October 21 Meeting:

  • We will not hold a 7:30 am meeting that day

  • Instead, we will hold a Happy Hour starting at 5 pm that evening at Snifters

 Community Service Update:

  • Lucie and Childlene will be accepting gift cards that will be distributed to the Seniors during the holidays.

  • Please, when you are out shopping, pick up $10, $15++ gift cards for any of the supermarkets, Kohls, Target, etc. and give them to Childlene at an upcoming Rotary Meeting.

  • Please be sure to write in the $$ amount on the card.

 Salvation Army Bell Ringing:

  • Tidewater Rotary will man the Salvation Army bucket at the Amish Market on Saturday, December 11.

  • A Sign-up Genius form will be created to ensure all time slots are filled. An email will be sent when that is available.

  • This is a fun event and if you have not done so in the past, I urge you to sign up – it’s a great way to get in the Christmas Spirit and meet a lot of great people in the community.

 A special welcome to our three new members:  Matt Peters, Stacia Skinner, and Steve Waltrich.  Each are great additions to the Club!

 Lots of activity going on and I want to thank all of you for your support and friendship.
